THE SPACE SHAPES THE DESIGN
The spa’s shape, dimensions and technical characteristics depend first and foremost on the setting in which it will be installed. Fulcor assesses access and handling, the weight of the filled spa, structural load capacity, supporting bases, water supplies, drainage, electrical connections and the clearances required for maintenance.
For indoor environments, the design also addresses ventilation, dehumidification, and the control of noise and vibration.
For outdoor installations—especially in Alpine settings—thermal insulation, a suitable cover, drainage and frost protection become essential.

Suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, these systems keep the water in the spa, filtered, treated and maintained at the selected temperature. Circulation, insulation and the cover determine comfort, energy consumption and ease of operation.

HOW DO YOU WANT TO RELAX IN THE SPA?
Upright seats provide a more supported seated position, reclined seats hold the body in a more relaxed posture, while full-length loungers create an enveloping experience. Depth, supports and legroom should suit the build of the people who will use the spa.

WHAT KIND OF SENSATION ARE YOU LOOKING FOR?
Water jets produce a more direct, targeted massage, while air creates a gentler, more diffuse movement. Combined systems bring both sensations together.

WATER TREATMENT FOR SPAS
HOT WATER, PRECISE BALANCE
In recirculating spas, the high temperature, relatively low water volume and intense aeration created by the jets cause water parameters to change more rapidly than in a swimming pool. Filtration, circulation, pH control, disinfection and water renewal must therefore be designed as one integrated system, according to the number of users and frequency of use.
CHLORINE, BROMINE OR SALT ELECTROLYSIS?
Bromine is often selected for private spas because it remains effective in warm water, tolerates fluctuations in pH more readily and produces a less pronounced odour, although it comes at a higher cost.
Chlorine remains the most widely used and economical option. It provides rapid disinfection that is easy to monitor, but the water temperature and movement require particularly accurate dosing.
Salt electrolysis produces active chlorine directly from saline water, providing a steadier supply of disinfectant. It does, however, require compatible components and specific maintenance of the electrolytic cell.
In hotels, thermal spas and wellness facilities, continuous control becomes the priority. Automatic dosing, pH regulation, parameter monitoring, filtration and water renewal are sized according to the actual bathing load.

EFFICIENCY AND ENERGY USE
Insulating the spa and pipework, using a thermal cover, and correctly setting the temperature and filtration cycles help to reduce heat loss, evaporation and energy consumption.
WATER CARE
Cleaning the filters, monitoring water parameters, carrying out scheduled water changes and sanitising the circuits keep the water clear and the system in optimum condition. The frequency of these tasks is determined by water volume and intensity of use.
MAINTENANCE AND SEASONAL OPERATION
Scheduled checks of pumps, heating, jets, seals and automatic systems help prevent faults and preserve spa performance. For outdoor installations, operation also includes frost protection, winter use or correct seasonal shutdown.
